TELLURIDE – The Many Hands Fiber Arts Festival has set up a Telluride Historic Quilt Trail, showcasing colorful quilt squares painted by 15 girls and boys, ages 8-12, throughout Telluride over the Friday, Aug. 8-Sunday, Aug. 10. weekend.
The festival takes place Friday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Telluride High School gym. Entry fee $3; children 16 and under are free. See knitting, textiles, quilting, needlepoint, mixed fiber media and more, with live fiber-bearing animals Saturday, and vintage and antique quilts. Classes and demonstrations throughout the weekend.
Pick up a free map at Telluride Visitors Center (and many local businesses) to follow the trail, from Telluride High School to the Old Railroad Depot, the Galloping Goose and San Miguel County Courthouse and seven other locations.
