The Ridgway River Fest is an educational and fun-filled celebration of our river and watershed for adults and kids of all ages in a family and pet friendly environment.
Festivities and events include the famous “Junk of the Unc” Race, Wildwater and Hard Shell Kayak Races, Alpine Bank Inflatables Racing, Jagged Edge Whitewater Rodeo, and the Town of Ridgway Ducky Race, live music by Mike Gwinn and the North Fork Flyers Band and a Silent Auction. Local food and beverages featuring Trail Town Still, Colorado Boy Brewery and Two Rascals Brewing will be available.
A special feature this year will be an opening ceremony conducted by Ute elder Roland McCook, great, great grandson of Chief Ouray and Chipeta.
This celebration of community, water, and learning is made possible with support of many local and regional sponsors. We are still seeking sponsorships so please visit our website to find out how you can contribute to and be recognized in RiverFest 2014: www.ridgwayriverfestival.org.
