The Telluride Farmers’ Market hosts over 50 vendors every Friday. We feature local, organic produce, pastured meat, eggs and cheese, hand crafted arts and crafts and gourmet lunch, snacks and ice cream.
Offering fruits, vegetables, flowers, herbs in season (organically and conventionally grown), grass-fed beef, pastured pork, farm fresh eggs, artisan breads and baked goods, local honey, fruit preserves, lavender products, jewelry, handspun alpaca & wool yarn products, compost & compost tea, and more!
The Montrose County Historical Museum will be hosting a Cemetery Tour on August 23, starting at 4:00pm. Please meet at the Grandview Cemetery on Sunset Mesa to learn about some of the Pioneers and their stories, plus the history of Cemeteries. This functional and fun class is taught by Michelle Kodis, who worked and trained extensively with Darin Fletcher of Integrative Movement Center. This brings together the best of her background in pilates, dance and FUN! Pilates and the barre are a match made in exercise heaven. Together they facilitate and expand the principles of true functional movement in an upbeat and supportive environment that focuses on the body’s intrinsic strength and capacity for dynamic, fluid, natural movement. Designed for all levels and typically accompanied by invigorating music, this class incorporates fundamental Pilates mat routines with barre exercises for a vigorous full-body workout designed to: · sculpt and lengthen muscles for a lean, streamlined silhouette · improve posture · develop deep core strength · safely enhance range of motion · promote overall endurance and fitness. The Tri-County Health Network is offering free Heart Health Screenings at the WilkinsonLibrary on August 27, 2014 from 10:15am to 5:00pm.
